Upma

Ingredients:
1. Semolina……………………………..1 cup
2. Onion…………………………………..1 small chopped
3. Curry leaves………………………… 6 – 8
4. Chana daal ………………………….2 – 3 tbsp boiled
5. Mustard seeds……………………. 1 tsp
6. Ginger………………………………… 1 tsp chopped
7. Peanuts……………………………….1 tbsp
8. Cashew nuts…………………………1 tbsp
9. Water (boiled ) ……………………3 cups
10. Salt ………………………………………to taste
Method:
1. Heat semolina in a pan till gets light brown and keep aside.
2. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, chana daal, peanuts and cashew nuts. Sauté till they are cooked.
3. Add chopped onion, ginger, curry leaves, suji and sauté it.
4. Add boiling water and mix well. There should be no lumps.
5. Cook for some time and turn off the flame. Cover for 5 minutes.
Serve hot with coriander or coconut chutney.
